Spicy & Rich
 
The nose is more subtle but filled with sweet spice, oak, and leather with no alcohol burn.
At first entry, it is sweet with caramel and toffee notes.
Then you are quickly greeted with the rye spice and mint that you were expecting from a rye whiskey. Not overly complex, but solid.
The finish is long and luxurious transitioning from sweet spice to pepper, but without losing balance.
