"À Arlon sur la knipchen" is a folkloric song from Arlon where Maitrank is from.
Maitrank (drink of may) is an aperitif made with wine, cognac, orange, and woodruff (aspérule odorante, in french) which bloom in May.
 
We mixed Maitrank with Aquavit which brings herbs and spices.
The Verjuice brings the acidity. And it is complete with a drop of violette.
 
You will love this cocktail, if you like the Aviation cocktail.
Sur la kipchen is less sour.
 
It is very easy to drink.
It is well balanced and the violette is not overpowering the rest.
Perfect as an aperitif.

- Verjuice (a highly acidic juice made by pressing unripe grapes)
- Violette Liqueur
